Meet the Staff!

Executive Director - Tom Freitag
Tom has served as executive director for more than five years - since the opening of Hearthstone.

Assisted Living Administrator - Bonnie Sloat
Bonnie comes from a ministry, counseling, chaplaincy and hospice background. Her specialty is encouraging interpersonal relations and problem solving.

Health Services - Brigita Nikolov RN
Brigita supervises the health care in Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care including the health care staff for independent and assisted living.

Memory Care - Tera Day LPN
Tera works as our Memory Care manager because she has a passion to help others who can not help themselves.

Community Relations - Penny Troolin
Penny's passion is working with and on behalf of older adults — a passion she uncovered when her parents moved here three years ago.

Food Services - Rai Buch
Rai was born in Braunau, Austria and has worked in food/dining services all of his life. He graduated from culinary school in Munich, Germany and later came to the U.S. where he worked in country clubs in New York, New Jersey and Nevada.

Facilities - Glenn Simpson
Glenn came to us from 20 plus years in manufacturing as a production supervisor of as many as 115 employees.

Chaplain - Dale Sloat
Chaplain Dale, an ordained minister, comes from a background in ministry, media and missions having served as a missionary, college professor, pastor, and media director in various parts of the world.

Bookkeeper - Puja Kumar
Puja has a Master's degree in finance and is currently working on her CPA.

Activities - Shirley Andersen
Shirley and her amazing staff program interesting, challenging and helpful activities for residents, which include: concerts, guest performances, dancing, trips, exercise, crafts, Bingo, and more!

Housekeeping - Anita Meierstein
Anita spent several years in apartment management prior to joining the Hearthstone team. In all, she has over 20 years of housekeeping related experience.

Human Resources - Pamela Howatt
Pamela is responsible for all the administrative personnel issues. Whether that being screening applicants, processing candidates, personnel paperwork, 401K, COBRA, etc., or just being there as a sounding board for the staff members. She does it all!

Dining Services Supervisor - Stefanie Milliman
Stefanie recently graduated from Portland State University with a BS in Psychology and plans to further her education in Grad school with a continued focus on Psychology, but art as well.
