Pet Policy

Pets are important to many people. For some people, pets are like family members. They love them and want to provide a good home for them. The pets, on the other hand, help their owners enjoy life more.

Some people, on the other hand, do not like pets or they are allergic to them. They do not want to be near them.

Hearthstone wishes to be sensitive to the wishes of both groups of people.

Therefore we have the following rules:

• The administrator must give her/his approval for a resident to bring a certain pet.
• The administrator, at his/her discretion, may ask the pet to be removed if it interferes with the peaceful occupancy of other residents, if there is property damage, noise, smell, or improper supervision or if there is non-compliance with the request of the administrator.
• Cats and dogs must be kept on a leash if they are outside of the resident's apartment.
• The owners are responsible for the pet's care and for cleaning up the pet's excrement.
• Pets are not permitted in the garden court or in the interior public spaces.
• Residents must agree to the above and make a $250 pet fee.
